Our Story

God’s timing is a mysterious thing and it doesn’t always make sense. However, sometimes it is very clear when you reflect on situations in your life.

My Fiancé and I first met when we were 19 and 20 years old. We met at church. My earliest memories of our friendship are of us greeting at the church's entrance, we did not talk to each other as much back then. It took us many years to make the decision to start dating.. there were some conflicts that kept us away from each other for a period of time. At that time, we did not know that those conflicts were going to help us mature and understand each other in a passive and loving way.

I love our story. Not because it is incredibly sweet (though it’s the sweetest in my very biased opinion). I love it because it points to the faithfulness and redemptive power of Jesus Christ. When I reflect on our story, it reminds me I can always trust God’s timing.

Our story has a happy ending, but a complicated middle. Only by the grace of God did we end up here, and only by His strength and provision are we going to build a strong, joyful marriage.
